Artistic Mission:
The Bloomington Symphony Orchestra is recognized in South Central Indiana as a community-based musical institution that regularly achieves musical excellence through development of its participating musicians to their highest abilities. Artistic leadership is provided through the orchestra’s music director, by emphasis on the highest performance standards and securing soloists of high artistic quality.
Educational Mission:
The Bloomington Symphony Orchestra seeks to encourage the understanding, appreciation and mastery of music from the baroque through the contemporary periods. It reaches out and provides for the musical enjoyment and education of all adults, children and students in South Central Indiana.
